Activity Description

The Full day Cape Peninsula tour encompasses magnificent beaches, breath-taking views, and picturesque villages on this spectacular coastline. The tour meanders from the city through Sea Point and Camps Bay on the Atlantic seaboard, stopping at Hout Bay harbour for an optional boat ride to Seal Island, then onto Chapman’s Peak Drive, passing Noordhoek and an ostrich view drive by, and into the Cape of Good Hope Reserve and Cape Point. An optional lunch in Simonstown and a visit to the Boulders Penguin Colony with a leisurely return to the City via the scenic False Bay, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg.

Clifton & Camps Bay

Clifton and Camps Bay beaches boast white sands, blue waters, and a vibrant atmosphere. Camps Bay Strip offers restaurants, bars, and a lively scene.

Hout Bay

Explore the charming Hout Bay harbor, bustling with fishing boats and craft stalls. (Optional boat trip to Seal Island to see breeding ground of the Cape Fur seals.)

Chapman’s Peak Drive

Take a thrilling drive along Chapman’s Peak, also known as “Chappies,” enjoying breathtaking ocean views and potential whale or dolphin sightings. (Optional stop at viewpoints for photos)

Cape Point

Arrive at the Cape Point Nature Reserve. Hike or take the Flying Dutchman funicular (optional) to the iconic Cape Point lighthouse for panoramic views of the mythical meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Explore the reserve’s diverse flora and fauna and visit the nearby Cape of Good Hope, a symbolic landmark.

Penguin Colony & Simon’s Town

Visit Boulders Beach, home to 2000 plus endangered African Penguins, and view them in there natural habitat. Observe these playful African penguins from designated walkways or take a refreshing swim alongside them in designated areas. Explore the historic naval town of Simon’s Town. See the South African Navy’s headquarters and harbor housing impressive frigates and submarines.

Kalk Bay &Muizenberg

Relax on the leisurely return journey to your Cape Town hotel along the scenic False Bay shoreline passing the charming harbour town of Kalk Bay and Muizenberg. (Optional stop at a viewpoint for sunset photos, depending on time.)
