Drive along the scenic 9km and 114 curve Chapmans Peak Drive and hop off at one of the viewing points for you to take photographs and enjoy the breathtaking views of the rugged cliffs.
Cape Point
Cape Point lies at the end of the picturesque Cape of Good Hope nature reserve and this area is one of the most popular landmarks in the Cape and for good reason. View the magnificent sight of Cape Point’s towering rugged cliffs from the top of the old lighthouse situated 262 metres above sea level and the most south westerly point of the Cape of Good Hope. This area spans over 7000 hectares, across landscapes such as rugged cliffs, distinctive fauna and flora and vast open spaces. Home to more than 250 species of birdlife, bucks, baboons and the Cape Mountain Zebra.
Penguin Colony & Simon’s Town
Visit the delightful African penguin colony at Boulders, Simon’s Town, one of the few remaining colonies of these endangered coastal birds. Simon’s Town is the seat of the SA Navy and has a charming coastal town atmosphere and a vibrant history. Here you can find a thriving harbor and see the submarines and frigates from a distance that are docked at the Naval Base harbor.
